This presentation will cover the process and story for how the Tucson Roadrunners came into existence, discuss the exciting things going forward, and how folks can get involved and be part of the action.
 
 
 
Biography - Ahron Cohen
 
Ahron serves as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Club and its related entities, including the Tucson Roadrunners and the Arizona Coyotes Foundation.  He joined the organization in August of 2015.  In this role, he oversees and advises on all legal aspects affecting the organization.
 
Prior to joining the Coyotes, Ahron practiced as a corporate attorney at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. in its Phoenix office where his practice included a wide range of corporate transactional matters and M&A work.  While at Snell, he served for over a year as outside legal counsel to the 2015 Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee and also represented the Coyotes’ ownership group in its purchase of the franchise from the NHL in 2013.  Prior to joining Snell, Ahron served as a legal and business affairs intern with the Minnesota Vikings organization.
 
Ahron attended law school at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.  While in law school, he served as an Editor of the Arizona State Law Journal, was named a Pedrick Scholar, and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif.   Ahron attended Bowdoin College where he was a four-year letter winner at running back for the Polar Bears’ football team and was one of fifty college football players—including NFL players Calvin Johnson, Chad Greenway, DeMarcus Ware and Darren Sproles—to be named as an All-American by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He also hosted a sports talk radio show.
 
Ahron’s community involvement includes serving as a Board member for the Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission and the ASU Law School Alumni Board.  He is also involved with the Arizona chapter of the Anti-Defamation League, the Phoenix Art Museum’s Men’s Art Council, the Corporate Counsel Forum and the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations.  Nationally, he is involved with the Sports Lawyers Association and serves as an Advisory Board member to the American Bar Association’s Forum on Entertainment & Sports.  He is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona.
