Humberto Lopez ~ Biography
 
Humberto Lopez practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for almost six years with the accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in Los Angeles, California, developing an expertise in real estate. He has formed in excess of 200 limited partnerships and limited liability companies since the founding of his company in 1975. He has had direct responsibility for the acquisition, capitalization, financing, renovation and marketing of over 30,000 apartment units, over 2,000 hotel rooms, shopping centers, office buildings, industrial buildings and thousands of acres of land. Mr. Lopez has been an active investor in diverse property types throughout the United States. He has acquired and disposed of over $2.5 billion worth of real estate and has handled all phases of real estate ownership and management. In addition to his real estate investments, Mr. Lopez has been involved in a number of non-real estate related companies ranging from car dealerships, a contact lens company, health care, mail order, banking and restaurants.
 
 
Mr. Lopez has served on the board of directors of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, and Arizona Public Service a Fortune 500 company since 1995. He is currently serving for the University of California San Diego Health Board of Advisors. Mr. Lopez previously served on the board of Capital Bancorp Limited, one of the nation’s largest community banking organizations which held over 50 individual charters for banking operations in several states, and as Chairman of Tucson Saving and Loan. Mr. Lopez’s current and former appointments at the University of Arizona include the Chairmanship of the Board of Advisors of the Sarver Heart Center, Chairmanship of the University of Arizona Foundation, the National Board of Advisors for the Eller College of Business and Public Administration and the University of Arizona President’s Club. He has also served as a board member and as chairperson in a number of non-profit organizations throughout the City of Tucson.
 
His past governmental appointments include the
 Downtown Tucson Advisory Committee, the Arizona Office of Tourism, the Arizona Urban Lands Advisory Committee and the Arizona Small Business Conference. Mr. Lopez was a member of the Young Presidents Organization from 1986 to 1996 and is currently a member of the World Presidents Organization.
 
 
 
Pastor Roy Tullgren ~ Biography
 
Roy’s involvement with Gospel Rescue Mission began in 1986, when he was elected to its Board of Directors. From December 2000 until June 2019, Roy served as the Executive Director and Pastor of Gospel Rescue Mission. He is currently in the position of Pastor of Donor & Church Engagement at the Mission.
 
Roy has been involved in non-profit agency management in Tucson since 1976, which includes 12 years as Executive Director of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters mentoring agency and 7 years as an administrator with a private Christian school. He has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Arizona and has additional Master’s level work in Counseling and Guidance.
 
Roy serves on multiple local boards, community tasks forces, coalitions, city and county commissions, and has held various professional leadership positions. He has been a speaker at national and district conferences and has served as a consultant to non profit organizations throughout the country. He has also served on the national board of Gospel Rescue Mission and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
 
In addition, Roy has been a foster parent and was a volunteer Big Brother mentor for over 40 years to 4 boys. He has also coached multiple sports for over 15 years and has served as an Arizona certified high school official for basketball and softball for 14 years.
 
Roy has lived in Tucson since 1964 and is married to Cathy. They have 2 adult children and five grandchildren, including a special needs granddaughter.
