Robbins is the 22nd president of the University of Arizona. From 2012 - 2016, he served as CEO of the Texas Medical Center, after enjoying a 20-year faculty career at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he was chairman of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and founding director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.
